My relationship with my buddy.

If you are looking for regular care, you will always have the same buddy. If you need just a one-off thing (like a single ride to a medical appointment) then the next time that you want to hire a buddy it may be different.

If your buddy is sick or can’t spend time with you for whatever reason, another “provisional buddy” will be with you until your regular buddy recovers. You will NEVER go a day without care.

Of course! All our buddies speak English perfectly and they won’t have any problems understanding you, or you understanding them.

Even if you need a buddy for one hour a week, you will always have the same buddy.

You will determine how much time you need from your buddy. Whether it’s an hour per week or you would prefer around the clock, we’re here to serve you.

Of course! All our buddies speak English perfectly and they won’t have any problems understanding you, or you understanding them.

We prefer to match female with female and male with male, but you have the final say so.

That’s not a problem, just give us a call and we’ll increase or decrease the hours of your buddy.

You are not obligated to provide food for your buddy, but many of our clients likes when they and their buddy enjoy the same meal together.

Things my buddy can and can't do

The majority of the people we help are seniors, but they are not the only ones. If you are younger (or your loved one is) but you need a hand with anything (housekeeping, cooking, driving, etc) or just want extra company, a buddy can help you too!

Your PSW does the things that we can’t do:

Bathing, dressing, toileting, or taking you out of their wheelchair.

And nursing care like dispensing medications, catheter care, injections, wound care, tube feedings, etc.

Whereas your buddy can do multiple other things in a more cost effective way:

Spend time with you, talk with you about anything you want, go with you anywhere you need, make your life easier at home with housekeeping and cooking, but also outside taking you to any medical appointments or family gatherings you need, etc.

If you’re looking for someone to spend more time with, or do any of the things above, increasing the hours of your PSW will probably be more expensive than a buddy spending that same time with you.

Of course! A lot of the people we help also have a PSW.

Of course! A lot of the people we help also have a PSW.

While our buddies can NOT pick you up for safety protocols and to avoid further injuries… They will call 911 immediately, and stay with you and do everything they can to help until the ambulance arrives. They will also call your family relatives to let them know what’s happening.

No. Your buddy can only shop for you using cash.

Yes, if they have their PSW certificate.

Our founder Carol is in charge of interviewing and hiring all our buddies.

You can know more about her here.

In the interview, she looks for compassion, patience, and enthusiasm to work with and care for people.

We look for someone who enjoys it and wants to do it.

Onboarding process and pricing

The first step is to book a 20-minute call with Carol, our founder.

In that call she will listen to everything you have to say and ask questions about how you are feeling, what are you looking for, and overall understand all your needs and get to know you a bit more as a person.

48 hours after your conversation, a buddy will get in touch with you to talk, introduce him/herself and schedule the first visit.

After you talk with our founder Carol, she will personally select the best buddy for your personality and your needs (or your loved one’s) based on your conversation.

The plans are completely personalized to you, it really depends on the things you want. Once you tell Carol everything you need, she will tell you how much it is.

Your insurance may cover the cost of your buddy, and if that’s the case, we offer a detailed invoice that you can send to your insurance.

No, you don’t have to sign any contracts and you can cancel the service anytime you want.

You will determine how much time you need from your buddy. Whether it’s an hour per week or you would prefer around the clock, we’re here to serve you.
